If leather is what you love, The Eagle is the bar to be at when spending a night out in the city of Seattle. This gay bar keeps it real with the best genuine all-leather nights, but The Eagle also keeps it fresh with a variety of different events. The Eagle was the first male leather bar in the area to offer a Dykes Night and it continues to do so with a new version called French Kiss. Even though the ladies are welcome, The Eagle is a man's place, featuring events like jock strap parties, underwear nights and even trucker's night where men wearing a lot of nothing strut their Big Rigs.
The Eagle is a multi-level space, but it's a small space. In addition to the back patio, there is a small downstairs bar, an upstairs pool table and people dancing wherever they can find the space to do so. This gay bar is a casual place where fun is meant to be had. Although the entertainment is constantly changing and the themes are designed to draw in new crowds, The Eagle is the type of gay bar where you can be comfortable as both a regular and a newcomer. You should know that it's a place for cruising, so if you're new, you be picked up like a piece of new meat. However, this is a laidback type of place, where beer is served in mason jars, happy our includes $1 PBR's and smoke hangs in a cloud on the back patio.
The Seattle Eagle is a favorite of mine. My partner and I go at least once every two weeks or so. The staff is great - they've become friends over the years. Good laid back scene - but you can't overlook the leather. Things get hot later in the night. A great spot! By: Michael on February 16, 2008
