nice hotel - a bit isolated though
I have stayed here twice on recent business trips to San Francisco. The hotel is located close to our SF offices so it makes it convenient for me to get to the office. During the evening hours though, I find myself stuck in tourist hell right on Fisherman's wharf. I typically do dinner nearby, then hop on a cable car to get over to the more desirable neighborhoods with the gay entertainment. A taxi ride home at the end of the night is fairly affordable. Despite the location, the hotel is nice. Upscale and what you'd expect of a Marriott in terms of services and amenities. By: Dean on October 14, 2011
Nice staff, great hotel
This was a nice hotel - I did feel a bit isolated at first - being over the hill from the rest of San Fran in Fisherman's Wharf - but my trip was a mix of business and pleasure - and my business was in Fisherman's Wharf. So - getting to my clients office was a breeze in the morning (after being out too late in The Castro) - and going out for drinks in the evening was pretty easy - I just hopped on the trolly - crossed over to Market Street - then caught the subway up to Castro. Cab ride home was also quick and affordable. Nice hotel - great staff - I was most impressed with the service. The rooms were fine - what you'd expect... clean - the normal amenities. All in all - a good experience. By: Rick on February 20, 2008
