Want a bad experience?
Being new to KC I read the reviews of this place before entering. My experiences there were overall negative. The large dark haired female bartender in the front bar was not just unfriendly, she was unfriendly almost to the point of being hostile. I also made the mistake of accidently placing my drink in the service area of the back/outside bar and the bartender went off on me. Gays put up with a great deal of hostility...bullying in there personal lives and should not have to put up with it in gay bars. The management of this place oviously condones abusive behavior and doesn't care how the staff treats people as I was told by regulars that those bartenders have worked there for a long time and the behavior is well known among customers. Shame on this bar for hiring people who clearly are not suited for any type of customer service and shame on the customers for putting up with it....Go elsehere.

Oldest Bar in Kansas City
This is the oldest bar in KC. The crowd here is cool - I like the vibe - it's a mix of everything - older guys, younger guys, leather and preppy boys. I don't go every weekend - but I try to stop by at least a couple of times a month.
