dont waste your time

It is a dive to be sure. As for getting laid...I don't think so! The clientele is almost all over the age of 45. A lot of bears, cubs, and chubs, and most of these are definitely not hot. It swelters in the summer and freezes in the winter. Bad music on the jukebox, draft beer has all the flavor of dirty water, and too many obnoxious drunks who should have been refused service. Straight fag hags looking for something different take over the bar with their twink friends, who compete for attention with sweaty fatties and oldsters. After three visits recently, I will not be back.

Friendly bartenders - cheap drinks - not ALL bad

I live in Columbus - but visit family in Cleveland frequently. In reading some of the other reviews on Hawk - I had to offer my two cents. The bar isn't all that bad is it guys? the bartenders are always friendly with me, the drinks are cheap. I even have meet some guys here who I see each time I stop in - I'd like to think I've made some friends here over the years. I'm 46 and granted Hawk isn't the way it was when I was younger, but it's still a nice bar to visit.

I just can't approve

I just can't approve of anyone going here - unless you're into hole in the wall cruise joints. Even if you're looking to cruise in Cleveland - there are better places to hit up. If you're curious to go - check it out. Then let me know if you go back.
